We are currently seeking a Student Recruitment Coordinator – Dual Credit to join our Office of the Registrar-Future Students Office team. Job Overview The Student Recruitment Coordinator – Dual Credit is responsible for coordinating all aspects of KPU’s dual credit partnerships with our external school district partners, including promotion, information and costing provisions, coordinating applications, and course selection. They are also the liaison with internal academic partners and operational teams to support dual credit student needs, secure seats/sections, as well as creating and maintaining documentation and training guidelines. They provide advice and/or information about admissions requirements and procedures, programs, services and more to identified target markets for the purpose of generating inquiries and applications, in addition to supporting recruitment events and advising in a wide variety of settings. Education and Experience A bachelor’s degree. Kwantlen Polytechnic University educational experience/degree considered an asset. Minimum two years of recent, related experience in student recruitment, admissions, dual credit coordination and/or Office of the Registrar. Recent Canadian domestic post secondary experience considered an asset. Experience in post‑secondary education recruitment activities, such as formal presentations at education fairs, trade shows, community and business events.Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to be flexible, responsive and polished in speaking to small and large groups up to 100+ is required. Proven ability to convey appropriate and diplomatic responses to questions under pressure. Ability to develop, plan, and deliver training to internal and external key parties. Proven ability to represent a post‑secondary institution or organization with tact and diplomacy while interacting with diverse people of a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Proven ability to function effectively in a cross‑cultural setting. Second language proficiency is an asset. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to exercise a high level of initiative and responsibility, work independently and establish own priorities and meet deadlines. Strong teamwork and team communication skills. Demonstrated ability to conduct oneself in a professional and patient manner in a demanding, high stress, fast‑paced environment over a sustained period of time. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to advise, guide and provide training to various key parties across the University. Aptitude in using technology including CRM systems and social media platforms. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Detailed and extensive knowledge of Kwantlen Polytechnic University programs and courses and a demonstrated ability to keep up‑to‑date with credit and non‑credit offerings, dual credit programming, university and program admission policies, tuition fees, deadlines, etc. Knowledge of training, education and or job requirements for a wide range of academic, trades and technical careers as well as pathway options to reach educational goals. Strong understanding of the B.C. and other Canadian secondary and post‑secondary education systems: graduation, partnerships, and articulated agreements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint at an intermediate level. Ability to travel to other campuses, as well as within British Columbia and other provinces of Canada is required. Must be able to work evenings and weekends on a flexible schedule. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required. Minimum of 50 WPM keyboarding skills with a high degree of accuracy. Demonstrated knowledge of basic math. Previous sales experience demonstrated by accumulating new leads and identifying new markets is considered an asset.
