As a UX Researcher, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping product experiences by uncovering insights that drive design and business decisions. We are looking for a Researcher who is passionate about understanding users and translating insights into impactful experiences. You will bring a mix of technical expertise, design knowledge, and strong communication skills to the team. This is a Hybrid position located in either Waterloo or Toronto, Canada. You will be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis, typically 1 to 6 times a month. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to one of the two locations and are not offering relocation assistance at this time. About The Role Collaborate closely with interaction designers, content strategists, product managers, and marketers. Plan and conduct lightweight prototype testing to evaluate design assumptions and reduce risk prior to development. Apply statistical methods to interpret research findings and ensure reliability and significance. Apply event tracking and funnel analysis to production environments to detect friction and inform design refinements. Design and execute light qualitative studies (e.g., interviews, usability tests) to complement quantitative findings. Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence product design. About You 4+ years of proven experience in UX research within software or digital product environments. Proficiency in inferential statistics and ability to structure controlled experiments. Experience with tools like Excel, R, or Python for running basic analyses. Experience analyzing user journeys and conversion funnels to identify friction points and optimize engagement. Strong understanding of UX principles and design heuristics. Experience conducting top-down qualitative analyses aligned with research objectives. Familiarity with triangulating findings using multiple data sources. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Skilled at fostering alignment within your team and stakeholders.
