Mechanic - Level 1Sunbelt Rentals—the fastest growing rental business in North America—is seeking a Mechanic/Technician. This role performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. The fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment. Specialty lines may have a fleet of large‑scale power‑generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required;
some trade schoolor equivalent training desired
1 to 3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC or oil & gas equipment) strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
May need to provide tools of trade
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Physical DemandsThe physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. The above description is not a complete listing of all duties which may be required day to day.

Pay and BenefitsBase Pay Range: 28.26 - 38.86 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
