Primary Job Title IT – Business Systems Analyst Alternate / Related Job Titles Senior Business Systems Analyst Lead Systems Analyst Business Technology Analyst Mobile Systems Analyst Location Toronto, ON Onsite Flexibility 2 days onsite initially Moving to 4 days onsite in February Anchor Day: Wednesday (second onsite day flexible) Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 months Start: As Soon As Possible Pay Rate: C$60 – C$70 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours Hours: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day) Experience Level: 10+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Business Systems Analyst to lead the delivery of complex system requirements supporting mobile applications and digital banking platforms . This role provides technical leadership across the full SDLC, partnering with business and technology stakeholders to define, analyze, document, and deliver high-quality functional and non-functional requirements . The position offers an opportunity to support a new end-to-end AI initiative within a leading Canadian bank. Key Responsibilities Lead planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management of system requirements aligned with mobile standards and frameworks. Act as a senior/lead systems analyst , coaching and guiding team members within area of expertise. Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications , including non-functional requirements. Own end-to-end requirements traceability through design, development, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess solution options, system impacts, and integration approaches. Support testing teams by translating requirements into test conditions and expected results . Provide oversight and guidance to ensure solutions meet standards for quality, scalability, reusability, and innovation . Support implementation and post-implementation activities . Contribute to business cases, RFI/RFPs, and vendor SLAs as needed. Stay current on emerging technologies, trends, and tools while adhering to the code of conduct . Required Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst . Proven experience supporting mobile applications . Strong requirements gathering and documentation expertise. Post-secondary education (degree or equivalent). Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across business and technical teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills . Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications Prior banking, payments, or e-commerce experience (e.g., Shopify, Amazon web store). Experience supporting payment systems . Technical background. Disqualifiers Excessive job hopping (client prefers tenure of 1+ year per role).
