Aperçu du poste : Nous sommes à la recherche d'un technicien en télécommunications proactif pour se joindre à notre équipe en pleine croissance. Ce rôle sera principalement axé sur le soutien, l'entretien et l'installation en TI pour servir nos clients sur place dans le Nord du Québec.

Principales responsabilités :

  1. Se rendre chez les clients dans le Grand Nord du Québec pour fournir des services d'entretien et d'installation d'équipement de TI.
  2. Diagnostiquer les problèmes de matériel, de logiciel et de réseau et implémenter des solutions efficaces.
  3. Effectuer des activités de maintenance préventive, y compris des mises à jour du système, des correctifs de sécurité et l'optimisation des performances.
  4. Respecter tous les protocols de sécurité pour assurer un environnement de travail sécuritaire pour vous-même et pour les autres.

Exigences :

  1. Diplôme d'études secondaires ou l'équivalent ; une certification technique ou un diplôme en technologie de l'information ou dans un domaine connexe est préférable.
  2. Expérience en tant que technicien en télécommunications sur le terrain ou un rôle similaire, avec une emphase sur le diagnostique de problèmes d’équipement, de logiciel et le support de réseau.
  3. Solides compétences techniques dans les protocoles de réseau (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP) et l'administration de serveur.
  4. Volonté de voyager à travers le Nord du Québec, souvent dans des endroits éloignés et plein de défis.
  5. Permis de conduire valide.
  6. Excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles, avec la capacité de travailler de manière indépendante et en équipe.

Qualifications préférées :

  1. Les certifications de l'industrie telles que CompTIA A +, Network + ou Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) sont avantageuses.
  2. L'expérience avec les outils de surveillance et de gestion à distance (par exemple, ConnectWise, SolarWinds) est un plus.
  3. La maîtrise du français et de l'anglais est préférable, compte tenu de la diversité linguistique de notre clientèle.

Job Title: Telecommunications Technician

 

Frequent travel required across Northern Quebec.

Company Overview: Yaaka Network solutions is an innovative and rapidly growing IT solutions provider, proudly serving clients in Northern Quebec. Serving Hospitals, Schools, Airports and many other institutions.

Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive Telecommunications Technician to join our growing team. This role will primarily focus on providing on-site IT support, maintenance, and installation services to our clients located in Northern Quebec.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to client sites across Northern Quebec to provide maintenance, and installation services of IT equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities, including system updates, security patches, and performance optimization.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in Information Technology or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician or similar role, with a strong focus on hardware/software troubleshooting and network support.
  • Strong technical skills in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and server administration.
  • Willingness to travel across Northern Quebec, often to remote and challenging locations.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are advantageous.
  • Experience with remote monitoring and management tools (e.g., ConnectWise, SolarWinds) is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred, given the linguistic diversity of our client base.
