Overview Job Title: Contract Enterprise / Solutions Architect Team: Cyber, Data, Risk & Resiliency Architecture Governance Location: Montreal (3 days per week in Office) Contract: 12-Month Incorporated Contract A leading financial services organisation is seeking a senior Enterprise / Solutions Architect on a contract basis to support enterprise-wide architecture strategy and governance across Cyber, Data, Risk, and Resiliency domains. This role operates above individual delivery teams, focusing on architectural direction, governance, and complex technology decision-making across a large, regulated environment. The successful contractor will combine strategic thinking with strong hands-on technical credibility.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive enterprise architecture strategy and principles Establish and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and governance processes Provide architectural oversight across applications, data, and integration layers Balance high-level enterprise direction with practical, executable solution designs Collaborate with engineering, security, data, and business teams to align technology with business needs Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI and Generative AI use cases Identify and mitigate risks related to resiliency, scalability, security, and technical debt Required Experience 8–10+ years of hands-on experience with Java/J2EE or Python Strong background in enterprise and solution architecture roles Experience operating in architecture governance or strategy-led environments Cloud platform experience across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven systems) Solid data architecture experience, including integration and analytics Ability to design and validate solutions, including prototypes or POCs when required Strong stakeholder communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences Architecture certifications (TOGAF, SAFe Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar) Experience in regulated or financial services environments Practical exposure to AI and Generative AI implementations DevOps experience including CI/CD pipelines, containers, and observability tooling Strong database knowledge across relational and semi-structured systems #J-18808-Ljbffr
