This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected and growing Toronto ODD team, working on high-impact assessments across a diverse range of investment managers and strategies. The Role The ODD Analyst will conduct thorough assessments of non-investment operational risks across assigned alternative investment managers. This includes evaluating internal controls, governance, technology infrastructure, service providers, and operational processes. The role involves reviewing documentation, conducting on‑site/virtual interviews, preparing detailed written due diligence reports, and communicating findings to internal stakeholders and clients. This is a dynamic, analytical, and highly visible role suited for professionals with strong audit, fund operations, compliance, or due diligence backgrounds. Key Responsibilities Assess operational risk, internal controls, governance, and information systems of investment managers. Conduct on‑site and virtual interviews; verify existence of assets where required. Prepare clear and concise ODD reports, highlighting risks and recommendations. Monitor operational changes within assigned funds and update reports accordingly. Respond to ODD inquiries from clients and investment managers. Contribute to best practices, process improvements, and internal knowledge sharing. Support thought leadership initiatives (newsletters, white papers, insights). Represent the firm at industry events and mentor junior ODD associates. The Ideal Candidate University degree in a relevant field. Progress toward (or possession of) CPA, CFA, or CAIA is preferred. 3+ years of experience in operational due diligence, audit (internal or external), fund operations, compliance, legal, fund administration, technology risk, or related fields. Strong analytical capability and ability to assess complex operational environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing detailed reports. Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with Power BI, Copilot, or other AI tools is an asset. Highly organized, self‑directed, and able to manage multiple priorities. Willingness and ability to travel to the U.S. and internationally.
