Geophysics Field Assistant - ClearView Geophysics Inc., Boston Creek/Kirkland Lake, ON
ClearView Geophysics Inc. is seeking aGeophysics Field Assistant for upcoming project work in theKirkland Lake area of Ontario . The work will entail assisting witha Borehole Induced Polarization (IP) survey, including setting upand running probes, winches and cable in drill holes, laying outsurface current electrodes and wire, and transporting andmaintaining survey equipment. Preference will be given tocandidates with rough bush experience and a geosciencebackground.
The work is physically demanding, takes place outdoors in allweather conditions, and requires a safety-minded approach aroundhigh-voltage survey equipment. Pay will depend on experience. Avalid driver’s licence is required, and preference will be given tocandidates with their own reliable means of transportation.
Additional project work could be available almost immediatelyfollowing completion, either elsewhere in Ontario or throughoutCanada including the arctic.Preference for longer termemployment will be given to candidates with a high degree of selfmotivation, excellent practical skills and good communication
abilities.A demonstrated interest in mineral exploration andenvironmental investigations is also a requirement.
Specialists in non-intruisive ground investigations.
