Keep Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise kitchens spotless as a Steward, using industrial cleaning machinery and maintaining sanitary work areas. This role pays $20.45 per hour.
The Steward supports kitchen operations through dishwashing, general cleaning, and organization. You will provide clean dishes, cutlery, baking equipment, and buffet equipment while assisting culinary preparation. The position includes responding to requests from culinary CDP, Sous, and Executive Chefs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clean dishes, cutlery, baking, and buffet equipment
- Operate industrial-grade cleaning machinery and tools
- Maintain sanitary dishwashing and kitchen areas
- Assist culinary preparation duties as requested
- Mop, sweep, scrub, cleanse, and polish surfaces
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning or food and beverage experience is an asset
- Self-motivated approach and excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift 20 to 30 pounds
- Ability to push, pull, bend, and stand for long periods
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
