Lead production management and facility operations at Theatre Network’s The Roxy in Edmonton, supporting theatre systems, safety, and creative work.
This full-time, permanent Director of Production & Facilities reports to the Artistic Director. The role supports mainstage productions, Nextfest, gallery programming, and venue operations. It combines technical leadership, team management, purchasing, maintenance oversight, and communication across creative, technical, and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage production for mainstage shows, Nextfest, and other activities
- Hire, train, and develop contract technicians
- Supervise scenic construction, installation, and theatre production elements
- Oversee health, safety, training, and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate building maintenance, renovations, and capital purchases
Requirements:
- Three to five years’ production management or technical direction experience
- Understanding of lighting, sound, video systems, and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of theatre health and safety
- Strong communication and production leadership experience
- Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday hours
