Overview As a Firmware Systems Architect for Pluggable Optical Coherent Transceivers at Nokia, you will play a pivotal role in designing high-capacity coherent pluggable optical interfaces, integrating your expertise within our Optical Networks Group. You will collaborate closely with firmware, hardware engineering teams, and product line managers to architect and implement innovative firmware platforms for modules like QSFP and OSFP. Your input will shape product requirements based on customer use cases and interface standards, fostering a strong cross-functional environment that thrives on agile methodologies. You'll work with a passionate team of professionals committed to pushing technological boundaries while enjoying a dynamic work culture that emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning in an international setting. Join us to lead the charge in advancing optical communication technologies Qualifications You have: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field 5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded SW/FW development Strong knowledge of pluggable modules like QSFP, OSFP, CFP Proficient understanding of host-module interfaces and standards like CMIS Excellent programming, analytical, and troubleshooting skills It would be nice if you also had: Telecom background with a focus on optical communications Experience working in agile firmware teams Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to lead cross-functional, multicultural project teams Responsibilities Guide the design and architecture of high-capacity coherent optical interfaces in OSFP and QSFP form factors. Collaborate with firmware, hardware engineering teams, and product line management to define and implement firmware platforms for pluggable modules. Analyze customer use cases to clarify system and product features, ensuring alignment with host equipment and standards like CMIS. Drive technical leadership in firmware architecture and document clear specifications for product requirements. Guide agile firmware teams with your expertise, facilitating the implementation of pluggable modules. Utilize your experience to troubleshoot and solve issues efficiently within embedded SW/FW contexts. Support cross-functional collaboration, leveraging strong communication and analytical skills to foster international teamwork.
