Adastra Corporation is hiring We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Human Resources Team. The Human Resources Administrator will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR Department and ensuring smooth operations across North America. This position involves supporting key HR functions such as onboarding, time-off management, and the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Additionally, the Human Resources Administrator will be responsible for tailoring Adastra resumes to meet client needs, creating engaging company communications, and generating employee documentation. In this role you will be proactive, highly organized, and dedicated to improving the employee experience through effective communication and ongoing support.

Location: Markham, ON (Hybrid work model: currently two days in office required)

Status: Full Time, Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Administer various functions of the HR Department and support staff across North America with day-to-day requirements
  • Conduct the new hire orientation process to foster a positive employee experience, providing ongoing guidance and seamless integration with company culture and values
  • Generate and tailor Adastra resumes to effectively showcase expertise and align with client needs
  • Facilitate time-off management processes
  • Conduct client onboarding processes to meet client and regulatory requirements
  • Create and refine job descriptions, standardized templates, and job postings on targeted platforms to strategically attract top talent
  • Perform quarterly access card and user account review and reconciliation
  • Create the quarterly company newsletter, generating engaging and fresh content
  • Process employee probation periods and communicate changes
  • Generate employment letters and complete employment verification for active and inactive staff
  • Oversee the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, executing end-to-end processes to facilitate the transition of international talent into Adastra
  • Enrich and align onboarding materials to reflect best practices and organizational changes
  • Collaborate with Adastra Group in all areas relevant to your job duties
  • Support company growth and related projects
  • Conduct HR research and support other HR initiatives as needed
  • Assist the HR team with hosting company events
  • Continuously engage with staff:
  • Educate and promote our programs
  • Ensure staff are engaged and supported and solicit feedback
  • Offer support or direct staff to appropriate resources

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • Administration experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central module
  • 2+ years' experience in similar HR capability
  • Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada with at least 5 years of verifiable work history for security clearance processing purposes
  • Excellent English language skills both verbal and written communication skills
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with aptitude for building rapport and maintaining relationships
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, energetic self-starter who can operate as part of a team and individually

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge or experience within the Tech, Data and Analytics industries
  • Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) license through the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC)
  • Knowledge or experience in USA HR operations related to recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and employment law
  • JHSC certification
  • First Aid Certification
