Senior MEMS Development Engineer We encourage enthusiastic candidates with Masters’ or PhD degrees in relevant engineering fields that have an interest in working on innovative projects to apply to this position. The successful candidate will learn how to model high performance timing resonators in the field of micro-electro-mechanical-systems (MEMS) in a fast moving, collaborative, and high performing Startup environment. The candidate will work with the Stathera team on different projects developing MEMS devices and processes to realize them, as well as electronic circuits, while utilizing hardware and software. The Senior MEMS Development Engineer will report directly to the Director of MEMS Engineering and will be expected to work on a full-time basis, namely 40 hours a week. Responsibilities and Duties Develop models for MEMS timing resonators and their packaging; Develop MEMS processes with external foundries; Work on improving temperature stability models for resonators; Troubleshoot any issues that arise in device simulation and measurement; Collaborate with the characterization team for testing MEMS devices; Analyzing and processing data and generating well-written reports; Other duties, as assigned by the MEMS design team. Required Technical Skills MS or PhD in Electrical/ Physics/ Mechanical Engineering, Science or equivalent; 3+ years of work experience in designing and/or processing MEMS required; Prior experience with designing capacitive and piezoelectric MEMS devices using FEM tools such as COMSOL and/ or ANSYS required; Knowledge of MEMS fabrication and processing techniques required; Proficiency in MEMS testing is considered an asset; Proficiency in computer programming and knowledge of MATLAB or Python, considered an asset; Experience working with layout tools such as Coventorware and/ or Ledit, considered an asset. Required Non-Technical Skills Proven problem-solving skills; Works well under pressure and has great time management skills; Is a team player and collaborates well with others.
