Support ALS laboratory operations through equipment maintenance, glassware care, data entry, and sample flow in a 24/7 testing environment.
As a Laboratory Assistant, you will complete routine maintenance tasks and simple analyses while assisting analysts and managing laboratory materials. Your work includes calibrating equipment, maintaining controlled instruments, cleaning labware, processing data, and preserving records. Established methods, schedules, turnaround times, and safety policies guide daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calibrate, maintain, and repair instruments as required
- Monitor controlled equipment and complete laboratory clean-up
- Clean and maintain glassware and laboratory ware
- Assist analysts with sample flow and archiving
- Meet turnaround times using established procedures and schedules
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Previous laboratory experience; comprehensive training provided
- Microsoft Word and Excel experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and 24/7 operations
