Develop professional theatre producing skills with Catalyst Theatre in Edmonton through tour coordination, budgeting, and project management assignments. This full-time internship runs 35 hours weekly.
The Intern Producer reports to the Managing Producer during the season. The internship supports season implementation and planning while developing experience for theatre producing, executive direction, or general management careers. Work includes original projects, touring, grants, and financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate logistical planning for theatre tours
- Manage project development and project delivery
- Support operating and project grant initiatives
- Contribute to project fund development activities
- Participate in industry networking and financial planning
Requirements:
- Experience with professional theatre production processes
- Interest in national theatre ecology and touring
- Mid-level competence with Excel and Word
- Understanding of budgeting and financial management
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills
