Location Toronto Position Description The Senior Audit Director is responsible for providing specialized audit expertise and overseeing the planning, risk assessment, and execution of enterprise or division-wide audits. This leadership role involves managing teams, leading large-scale audit programs, and ensuring comprehensive risk coverage. Leading people management functions, including recruitment, performance evaluation, compensation decisions, and staff development. Serving as a subject expert for complex audits across multiple business lines or functions. Directing, planning, and executing efficient, risk‑based audits. Identifying and evaluating internal and external risks, and presenting actionable recommendations to senior management. Contributing to annual risk assessment processes, audit planning, and continuous monitoring programs. Reviewing and finalizing audit reports, while ensuring alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements. Acting as a key contributor to projects, initiatives, and industry forums, representing the audit function at a high level. Promoting collaboration, recognition, and professional development within the audit team. Qualifications A minimum of an undergraduate degree. 10+ years of relevant audit or financial services experience. Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing complex audits and large teams. Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to deliver training or represent the organization externally. Some domestic travel required.
