Job Overview: As the Building Materials Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, leading our Building Materials Department to success. Reporting to the Retail Division Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to: Shape our vision and values in the department, ensuring a consistent and high‑quality customer experience. Develop strategic operating plans and budgets, and design eye‑catching merchandising programs. Optimize sales and margins through efficient buying, inventory management, and pricing strategies. Build and nurture a high‑performing team through hiring, training, coaching, and ongoing support. Collaborate closely with other departments and suppliers to drive seamless operations. What You Bring: Proven leadership skills to inspire, motivate, and develop a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to connect with team members and customers. A strong sense of organization, adaptability, and commitment to quality. Ability to balance multiple demands and maintain an eye for detail. Industry knowledge and familiarity with business trends. Understanding of building practices, including estimating. Solid computer skills and technical know‑how. Experience in retail, including planning, budgeting, and financial management.
