Experienced Workplace Investigator/Labour & Employment Lawyer Forte Workplace Law is looking for an experienced lawyer to join our growing workplace investigations practice. Our focus is on helping people resolve conflict at work, taking a trauma-informed approach. We act for employees, employers and unions, and also act as neutral investigators, mediators and training facilitators. We are looking for a seasoned workplace investigator who is interested in a mixed practice between workplace investigations and one or more of our other practice areas: labour law, employment law, human rights, mediation and respectful workplace bystander training through StandUP Teams™. Our Ideal Teammate You are a lawyer who has conducted at least 10 workplace investigations over the last 5 years, and also has significant experience in one or more of our other practice areas (labour law, employment law, human rights, workplace investigations, mediation and respectful workplace training). Your Skills To excel in this role, you should have: A collaborative approach, valuing input of others when developing legal strategies and solutions. Experience interacting inclusively with a diverse population with cultural humility. A self-directed approach, with excellent time management and file management skills. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Proficiency with legal research tools. Solid tech skills, including MS Office and experience working with document management systems (NetDocs is an asset) and virtual meeting platforms (MS Teams and Zoom). Compensation & Location Assuming full time work, our salary range is $120,000 to $200,000, which can be prorated for part time, plus bonus eligibility. Forte Law’s main office is in South Surrey. We have proven, flexible work arrangements including hybrid and remote work.
