Lead Whole Foods Market’s Whole Body department through buying, merchandising, profitability, and customer service leadership. Guide daily operations and team performance.
This Whole Body Team Leader directs department operations, including purchasing, inventory, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects. The position leads Associate Team Leaders and Team Members while supporting hiring, development, evaluations, corrective actions, and separations. Success requires retail leadership, product knowledge, financial awareness, and strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor sales, purchasing, labor, and profitability targets
- Manage ordering and inventory for targeted profit margins
- Lead, train, mentor, and evaluate department Team Members
- Maintain vendor relationships and collaborative store leadership partnerships
- Direct customer service, retail execution, and safety standards
Requirements:
- 24 or more months of retail experience
- 12 or more months of team leadership experience
- Advanced knowledge of buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and operations applications
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work flexible schedules
