We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer, reporting to the Site Engineering Team Lead at our Leismer facility. This position will provide Engineering support for AOC's Thermal Assets in the Fort McMurray and Conklin area.
This is a fly-in/fly-out field rotation 7 days on/ 7 days off.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and align technical designs, specifications, and work packages to meet site project goals
Identify, scope, and generate construction work packages to improve safety, production, and profitability
Provide technical support for construction activities
Assist with facility safety and reliability through special projects, root cause failure analysis, and incident investigations
Support and improve the Management of Change (MOC) system
Facilitate risk assessments for MOC projects and site activities
Act as the interface between Operations and Production Teams to optimize facility performance
Provide technical and operational support for future Calgary-based engineering projects
Ensure work processes and learnings are shared across AOC's thermal assets
What You Bring:
5+ years of relevant experience in engineering or facility projects
Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Process, or Mechanical Engineering
Licensed member of APEGA
Strong knowledge of Management of Change (MOC), ABSA, and AER requirements
Understanding of applicable codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, NACE)
Experience with P&ID creation and engineered drawing markups
Experience with debottleneck activities , including process engineering and data analysis (Pi/PARCview) (an asset)
Experience with equipment reliability, maintenance analysis, and recommendations (an asset)
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multi-disciplinary environment
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
