Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our Wealth Management Global IT Data Services team. The successful candidate will design and develop large-scale projects and programs, leveraging database technologies such as SQL Server, Snowflake, and Python. Provide information on the detailed technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms, applying experience and seasoned knowledge to perform a variety of assignments. What will you do? Design and develop small to large applications and programs, ensuring design integrity, reusability, defect-free delivery, and timely completion Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code that meets requirements and standards Identify, track, and resolve technical issues, and develop/recommend mitigation strategies to ensure successful solution development and delivery Collaborate with other teams to resolve technical issues and improve overall system performance Collaborate with other teams to create new and modify existing database or infrastructure objects based on required functionality Participate in walkthrough reviews of technical design, specifications, programs, and unit test plans Assist DevOps/support teams in troubleshooting high-priority implementation issues, production investigations, and other activities Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on database and Python development What do you need to succeed? Must have: 5+ years of experience in database and SQL Server technologies, including Python and Snowflake Solid experience in Microsoft SQL Server, including various versions and editions, database design, implementation and maintenance Solid SQL experience including querying, indexing, and performance optimization Solid experience with Transact-SQL (T-SQL) for stored procedures, functions and triggers Knowledge of security best practices, including user management, roles, and permissions Understanding of backup strategies and recovery models to ensure data integrity and availability Ability to analyze and improve database performance, including query optimization and index management Nice to have: Java programming language Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Database: SQL Server, Snowflake Programming Language: Python DevOps tools and methodologies Containerization: Docker What’s in it for you?
