Project Manager

Overview Project Manager - Pharmaceutical and Chemicals Sector at BBA Consultants. BBA is expanding its presence in Ontario’s chemical sectors. We are looking for a high-impact leader with proven experience in executing bio-based and specialty chemical projects. You will lead the delivery of complex projects, apply your technical expertise to ensure successful outcomes, and help position BBA as Ontario’s go-to technical partner for specialty chemical projects. Type of position Regular What you will do Project Delivery Drive the delivery of multidisciplinary projects ranging in scale from short-term projects lasting a few weeks to large, long-duration initiatives Proactively manage and resolve technical, financial, schedule and workforce issues to mitigate variances Ensure the quality of professional services rendered to preserve BBA’s professional image Lead the preparation of project deliverables such as cost estimation, logistic plans, contract plans, schedules, study reports, project execution plans, risk and opportunities registers Coordinate the preparation of technical deliverables across multiple disciplines including process, mechanical, piping, civil, structural, electrical and instrumentation Project and Opportunity Development Build relationships with plant operators, developers, technology providers, and government-funded projects across Ontario Understand and promote BBA’s portfolio to potential and existing clients Lead the preparation of proposals including defining scope with clients, budget and schedule estimation, and presentation of proposals to clients Collaborate with BBA’s global market director to support the execution of the strategy to position BBA in Ontario’s chemicals sector Qualities and values Thirst to learn and excel Rigorous and ethical Entrepreneurial spirit Strong commitment to health and safety Desire to motivate and train the next generation Ability to share and pass on knowledge Certifications and job requirements 15+ years of experience in project development, or technical consulting in energy, chemicals, or cleantech Deep understanding of the Ontario industrial and energy landscape Proven track record in client-facing roles or business development Experience in early-stage project definition and stakeholder management Proactive to stay up to date in market trends, emerging technologies, and key investments in the sector Asset: Experience in biomass Asset: Active in chemical-related associations and participating in networking events Total rewards Annual base salary Annual premium program for regular employees Access to a time bank Onsite mobility premium Cellphone program Group insurance plan starting day one including short-term and long-term disability insurance for regular employees and telemedicine program Retirement savings plan for regular employees Vacation and sick leave Premium offered through the Employee Referral program BBA considers many factors to determine the annual base salary such as, but not limited to: market, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications, and other relevant competencies.
