Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Opportunity We’re looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our IT team. Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, the Senior QA Engineer is responsible for the implementation and integration of quality principles and for promoting these principles to project stakeholders. The role requires a thorough understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and test methodologies. What Your Day Looks Like Design test automation architecture & build the framework for cloud‑based microservices in Azure with a blue‑green deployment strategy. Provide technical leadership, technology guidance, and mentor others on test automation design/implementation best practices for microservices and cloud‑native applications. Partner with Project Sponsors and the QA team to remove roadblocks and keep projects moving forward. Review software design specifications, code, and test plans to ensure they meet quality standards. Create and execute test plans and test cases to guarantee quality of software products and services. Identify and report software defects and collaborate with the DevOps team to resolve them. Promote best practice of Test‑Driven Development and Business‑Driven Development (TDD/BDD) and quality‑shift‑left initiatives with white‑box, grey‑box testing. Collaborate with DevOps team members to establish and maintain software quality standards and best practices. Ensure that software products and services meet regulatory compliance standards. Requirements Your Experience and Skills Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, technical diploma, or other applicable software development work experience. 5+ years of computer programming experience, preferably in Java or Python. Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, subqueries, etc.). Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, etc. Experience with data warehouses or ETL testing. Hands‑on experience with designing & building automated testing tools and frameworks. Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a DevOps environment with implementation of CI‑CT‑CD pipeline for various deployment patterns in cloud. Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, and JUnit. Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). Experience with test management tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and diagnose issues.
