Key Responsibilities Apply strong facilitation and planning skills to manage the successful execution and alignment of the corporate strategic plan and enterprise risk management program. Develop tools and leverage technology to enhance the effectiveness of corporate strategy and enterprise risk management processes. Build strong internal partnerships to understand business unit needs and support their goals while maintaining an enterprise-wide perspective. Lead strategic initiatives by facilitating status reporting, developing charters, roadmaps, and dashboards, consolidating updates for senior leaders, and supporting projects in establishing risk management frameworks. Support enterprise risk management by collecting, analyzing, and reporting risk data, conducting quarterly risk interviews with business units, and maintaining the enterprise risk register and heat maps. Participate in complex strategic assessments, evaluate potential courses of action, and develop recommendations to address business challenges and opportunities. Support strategic analysis using methodologies such as gap analysis, jurisdictional scans, stakeholder engagement, SWOT analysis, and scenario planning to identify opportunities and drive actionable outcomes. Support the collection and analysis of internal and external data to identify industry trends, emerging risks, and market developments. Synthesize insights into clear, actionable reports that inform both corporate strategy and enterprise risk planning. Requirements Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional designation or certification preferred (e.g., PMP, risk management, P. Eng.). 3 to 5 years of professional experience in planning and executing corporate strategy and/or enterprise risk management with exposure to complex projects and cross-functional collaboration. Experience with an electrical utility or other highly regulated industry is an asset. Previous internal or external experience in strategy and risk consulting considered an asset. Technical Knowledge & Skills Demonstrated project management skills and experience executing project activities across the full lifecycle for initiatives of standard-to-moderate complexity. Solid understanding and practical application of risk management best practices and standards such as COSO ERM 2017, ISO 31000:2018, and/or electricity industry ERM frameworks. Proficiency with risk and project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with strategic planning frameworks and analytical methodologies (SWOT, gap analysis, scenario planning). Working knowledge of the electricity sector, including distribution utility business models, regulatory environment (Ontario Energy Board), and key industry players. Understanding of key market trends impacting the energy sector. Knowledge of sustainability risk concepts and ESG factors is an asset. Analytical & Problem-Solving Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components. Ability to conduct research, synthesize information from multiple sources, and draw sound conclusions with guidance. Data analytics skills including financial modeling, cost‑benefit analysis, and quantitative risk assessment. Strong attention to detail to produce accurate, high‑quality analytical work. Communication & Stakeholder Management Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and functions. Commitment to partnering with business units to understand objectives and support their success while maintaining an enterprise-wide perspective. Effective facilitation skills for working-level meetings and workshops. Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, concise reports and presentations. Ability to effectively communicate ideas and recommendations to stakeholders at various organizational levels.
