Reporting to the Chief Client Officer (CCO), the Vice President Lending is responsible for overseeing the lending function. The role provides direction, management and leadership to the lending team, builds and improves upon the existing policies, procedures, and establishes the goals of the department, ensuring that growth expectations are achieved within lending mandate, and lending-related activities are in full compliance with all governance guidelines. Contributes to the formulation of the Division’s strategy and execution, participates in strategic planning, and develops and executes the department’s tactical plan to support the achievement of departmental, divisional and organizational objectives. Responsibilities Leading an engaged team that is responsible for the delivery of Lending products to our clients across Alberta. What we are looking for A leader that has excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills to connect with and lead the Lending team across AFSC Utilizing your deep understanding and strong knowledge and expertise related to Lending and sharing that knowledge where appropriate to foster learning and development. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of combined education & experience in agriculture lending and or/financial services industry. Strong skill set in strategy development and execution as well as building and leading teams Leadership/management experience to work across cross functional units and special projects What else is in it for you?
