About The Opportunity This is a permanent leadership opportunity reporting to the Chief Financial Officer within a complex, internationally operating organization. The Director, Corporate Finance is a newly created role responsible for the integrity of financial information, consolidated financial reporting, compliance, and enterprise risk management. The role oversees corporate accounting, budgeting, risk management, and internal controls while leading and developing a high‑performing finance team. Responsibilities Corporate Accounting & Reporting Oversee full-cycle accounting, including month‑end close and reconciliations Prepare consolidated financial statements and support local statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions Lead external audit processes, including consolidated and country‑level audits Prepare internal management reporting and variance analysis Maintain the chart of accounts and financial policies in compliance with GAAP and CRA regulations Ensure timely statutory, regulatory, and tax filings Support treasury management, cash flow forecasting, and corporate insurance processes Oversee donation processing to ensure regulatory compliance Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the annual organizational budgeting process Develop forecasts, scenario planning, and financial models Support workforce planning initiatives Risk Management & Internal Controls Support enterprise risk assessments, risk registers, and quarterly risk reviews Develop and implement risk management strategies and mitigation plans Act as an internal subject‑matter expert on risk management practices Strengthen internal control frameworks, including ERP‑related controls Leadership & Organizational Contribution Lead, mentor, and develop the Corporate Finance team Contribute to organizational strategy and strategic planning initiatives Promote an inclusive, ethical, and high‑performance work environment About You CPA designation Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field At least 10 years of experience in accounting, audit, and/or risk management At least 5 years of audit experience and 5 years in a supervisory full‑cycle accounting role Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance within the Canadian charity or not‑for‑profit sector Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial policy development Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt in a dynamic environment Experience with NetSuite, Dynamics GP, and/or Sage 50 is considered an asset Fluency in English and French is strongly preferred Job Details Employment Type: Permanent, Indeterminate Salary: $112,200 - $132,000 Work Arrangement: Hybrid (1 day a week in the Ottawa office) Hours: 35 hours per week with flexible scheduling Benefits: Comprehensive health and dental coverage, paid time off, RRSP contributions, parental leave top‑up, and home office reimbursement How To Apply Please apply by clicking the “Apply Now” button below and follow the instructions to submit your résumé.
