Director of Sales AMER – Mechasys Mechasys is a SeriesA robotics startup poised to revolutionize the $16.5trillion global construction industry. Our flagship product, the XR Projector, is a state‑of‑the‑art robotic system that projects laser‑accurate, augmented‑reality construction plans directly onto the job site. We are hiring the foundational leader to build the Americas’ sales engine from scratch. The Mission : Build the AMER Sales Engine As a foundational “Player‑Coach,” you will be responsible for building our sales footprint in North, Central, and South America from the ground up. Mission Overview Act as the “Super‑IC” : For the first 9‑12months you will be the primary salesperson, hunting, managing, and closing flagship accounts in the US, Canada, and key LATAM markets. Be the GTM Architect : Use data from your own deals to create the real AMER GTM strategy, sales playbook, and hiring plan. You will personally close the first $5‑$10M in the territory before hiring a larger team. Core Responsibilities Phase1 : Direct Sales & Market Execution (Player) Full‑Cycle Sales Ownership : Personally drive prospecting to C‑suite negotiation and close for all key accounts. Flagship Account Hunter : Target and win “lighthouse” logos (e.g., ENR‑400 GCs, major developers). Pipeline Management : Manage all inbound demand across the territory, qualifying and prioritizing opportunities. Executive Field Sales : Travel as needed to key customer sites for demonstrations, validations, and commercial negotiations. Phase2 : Strategy & Playbook (Architect) Develop the AMER GTM Strategy : Define hot territories, verticals, and ICPs. Build the Sales Playbook : Codify processes, value propositions, and objection handling for each market. Define the Go‑to‑Market Model : Determine optimal sales models (direct vs. channel / dealer). Phase3 : Team Building & Leadership (Coach) Recruit, hire, & mentor a team of A‑Player Territory Managers and Inside Sales Reps. After proving the sales motion, recruit, hire, & mentor a team of A‑Player Territory Managers and Inside Sales Reps. Set the Culture : Establish high‑performance, accountability, and rigorous CRM discipline. Executive Reporting : Report directly to the CEO on pipeline, forecasting, and GTM strategy. Qualifications & Attributes Required 10+ years in B2B sales with 5+ years in a leadership role. Player‑Coach DNA : Proven top1% IC performance and successful team leadership. Complex, High‑ACV Sales : Experience with $100k+ ACV, 6‑12month cycles, and selling disruptive tech to non‑technical execs. Relevant Industry : Construction tech, industrial robotics / hardware, or complex B2B SaaS. 0‑to‑1 GTM Experience : Built a GTM strategy or sales territory from scratch at a high‑growth startup. North American Market Mastery : Deep experience in US & Canadian construction or industrial markets. Preferred Experience in the AEC industry.
