Job Overview As a Store Manager you will coach and develop your store team to deliver world‑class service to all customers and help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and other solutions for their pets. What You Get Management training Product knowledge Employee discounts Competitive wages Paid benefits Pet‑oriented career‑building environment What You Do Ensure all customer service standards are met by staff and maintain courteous relationships within the community (e.g. Humane Society) Manage a team of employees: recruiting, scheduling, training, day‑to‑day assignment of tasks, supervision and coaching Ensure all staff adhere to operational standards and procedures set at the corporate operations level Coordinate order placements, maintain appropriate inventory, ensure store audits and safety audits are completed, coordinate minor store repairs and complete miscellaneous corporate paperwork Coordinate efforts of store staff to achieve targeted business results Other duties and tasks as required What You Bring Minimum of 2 years customer service and retail store management experience Enthusiasm for learning & growth in pet care industry Outgoing, friendly personality with strong customer service skills Works as scheduled to meet attendance requirements, including weekends and evenings Reliable transportation to and from the store Observes and coaches employees to provide feedback around sales techniques and excellent customer service Can understand inter‑team conflicts and escalates when necessary Working knowledge of POS system Can lift 50 lbs repeatedly Industry experience is an asset Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Sales and Business Development Industry Retail Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Pet Valu by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
