Intermediate Java Developer /QA

About the Role



Teranet is currently looking for an Intermediate Java Developer /QA to design, develop, and implement software applications and enhance existing Java based components. Looking for a strong developer that understands the fundamentals of JAVA and back-end technologies with some front-end. You will join a team that develops shared services and billing systems at Teranet. The team embraces Agile development, DevOps, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud infrastructure, and continuous delivery / deployment models.

What You’ll Be Doing



  • Develop new applications and web services
  • Provide enhancements to existing applications / back-end development
  • Triage production issues, assist with integration support, and participate with releases
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation
  • Assist on production issues and second level support



About You


Developer Skillset/experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of Java development experience
  • Experience with Java 11 plus, JavaScript, J2EE, JPA, JSP
  • Experience with Web Services (REST & SOAP)
  • In depth knowledge of core Java
  • Experience with Spring Framework / Spring boot 3
  • Experience with Microservice Architecture and Scalable application is nice to have
  • Experience with Azure APIM
  • Experience with OCP/Kubernetes
  • Able to create Design/Architecture documents is nice to have
  • Well versed with Design patterns
  • Able to do troubleshooting independently
  • Well versed with Oracle and Postgres DB
  • Working knowledge of AMQ and Elastic Search is nice to have
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows OS
  • Worked in Agile development environment



QA Skillset/experience:



  • Experience with Test Automation
  • Able to create SOAP/REST scripts
  • Able to create Groovy scripts (load test)
  • Able to create test scenarios and scripts
  • Working knowledge of SOAP UI, ReadyAPI and Postman
