Volunteer Firefighter As a volunteer firefighter, you'll work alongside our dedicated team of career firefighters to respond to fire‑related emergencies in Iqaluit. Training Process Training to become a volunteer firefighter is a three‑stage process that includes both classroom theory and hands‑on training. You'll dedicate 12 hours a month for six months to complete your training and prepare for the responsibilities of the role.
