Team & Job Overview The Mid‑Market Group is looking for Senior Relationship Managers to join our growing team of professionals across Canada. We are hiring across regions and proactively developing a talent pool for near‑term and future opportunities. Reporting to the relevant Regional Director, you will contribute to the execution of EDC’s 203Bodies plan, helping entrepreneurs grow exports and energize the Canadian economy. Responsibilities include prospecting, portfolio management, cross‑selling, and leveraging the EDC global network. What You Will Be Questoing Identify and qualify potential customers and promote the full value proposition available to exporters. Assess export financing, risk management or other needs and match solutions to these needs. Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts and develop territory strategies and account plans. Manage the progression of designated portfolio pipelines and facilitate transactions where appropriate. Monitor pipeline progression and facilitate transactions. Execute projects, initiatives, and tasks related to market coverage mandates. Develop strategies and plans to ensure full market coverage of the designated territory, integrated with sector and country strategies. Identify market trends and intelligence to develop regional or sector strategies. Serve as the knowledge base and problem solver for prospects/clients; handle client negotiations and manage interactions professionally. What We Are Screening For Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline. Minimum of 5 years business development experience and commercial lending experience in international business and/or financial services. Knowledge of best practice in strategic sales and/or account management. Established network in the region. Valid driver’s license. What Will Make You Stand Out Business development experience in commercial banking. Sales management experience in related industries. Knowledge of bank credit and lending practices. Knowledge of international trade practices. MBA, CITP, or CBCA designation. Ability to work in both English and French (if required). Eligibility EDC prefers candidates who are legally able to work in Canada at the time of application (Canadian citizens or permanent residents). Candidates must meet security screening requirements.
