We are excited to see what you bring to our teamDuties and Responsibilities: Implement the design concept through the preparation of electrical detailed design, production drawings and schematics for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings using AutoCAD and/or Revit. Design and prepare layouts and specification for lighting, electrical distribution (single line diagrams), emergency power distribution, fire alarm, wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, cable, and panel schedules. Engage in meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants regarding project reports and findings. Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems. Ensure ASHRAE and LEED compliance where applicable. Create technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches. Create specifications and equipment selection. Review shop drawings to confirm they adhere to project requirements. Consistently follow company policies, procedures, and file structures/formatting. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements: Post-secondary Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is an asset. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is required. 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings. Work experience designing HV substations, fire alarms, lighting, emergency power generation, MV and LV distribution systems, and large electrical systems. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian Electrical Code,National Building Code of Canada (NBC(AE)), etc. Ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure on various tasks. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
