About The Job The Project Lead, Population Health is an integral member of the Healthy Schools team, supporting relationship‑building efforts with First Nations schools and leading the implementation and evaluation of PreVenture—a prevention program that promotes mental health and reduces substance use risk through personality‑focused interventions. Reporting to the Manager, Healthy Start Healthy Schools and collaborating with the Healthy Schools Project Lead and Program Specialists, the role fosters partnerships across the Interior Region, promotes PreVenture, and ensures culturally safe implementation and evaluation. The Project Lead works closely with the Healthy Schools team and Foundry BC to maintain a provincial strategy, manage inventory records and data reporting, and plan, attend, and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include supporting broader Healthy Schools initiatives such as school health program reviews, accreditation processes, and contributing to strategic planning within the Healthy Start Healthy Schools team. In alignment with Interior Health’s vision and values, the Project Lead supports the Manager, Healthy Start Healthy Schools by guiding the implementation and expansion of health promotion and prevention programming. The role uses project management and facilitation methods, acts as a resource to leaders and staff, applies an equity lens, develops implementation plans, delivers presentations, produces reports, oversees project administrative activities, and facilitates collaboration with internal and external partners. Typical Duties And Responsibilities Analyzes program initiatives and opportunities, provides feedback to leadership, and ensures alignment with organizational strategies. Identifies and promotes expedited resolution to problems or barriers to enable successful program delivery. Provides updates and prepares reports, briefings, presentations, budget projections, and research elements. Delivers facilitation assistance within designated areas to leaders and staff. Collaborates with department and portfolio leaders for coordinated and strategic planning and implementation of HSHS initiatives. Promotes consistent processes and continuous improvement of practices for project success. Collaborates with departments to develop, implement, evaluate, and report on project impact and outcomes. Monitors program plans, measures progress, and identifies factors affecting goal attainment. Provides project management expertise to guide and support initiative implementation. Engages externally with other Health Authorities, regional entities, community agencies, and private partners to identify opportunities for program improvement. Leads discreet projects, develops guidelines, templates, and critical activity pathways, and makes recommendations. Adheres to Occupational Health & Safety policies and attends required training. Performs related duties as assigned.
