Intermediate Architectural Technologist - Defence at Architecture49 Inc. With a proven track record on complex programmes and a commitment to collaborative delivery models such as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Modified Design Build (MDB), we are seeking experienced professionals who share our vision for excellence in defence infrastructure. Prior experience with Defence Construction Canada (DCC) and DND projects, bilingual proficiency in English and French, and the ability to obtain or hold a Reliability and Secret security clearance are essential assets for candidates ready to contribute to Canada’s most significant defence initiatives. Position Responsibilities Producing technical design and contract documents in collaboration with project teams. Working with senior team members to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements and regulations. Providing technical design solutions for construction, including interior and exterior assemblies. Coordinating internal production teams. Coordinating with project sub‑consultants. Providing technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff. Assisting a dedicated site team and preparing documentation for contract administration. Desired Profile Degree or diploma in architectural or building technology from a technical college. 5+ years’ experience as a technologist or technician for an architectural consulting firm. Experience leading BIM projects. Construction site experience. Experience with BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365 environment and Bluebeam (required). Professional registration in a provincial association dedicated to technologists (considered an asset). Bilingualism (English and French) (considered an asset). Ability to obtain Reliability and Secret level security clearance (mandatory). Conditions and Benefits Full‑time position: 37.5 hours/week. Competitive salary based on experience.
