Would you like to be responsible for the smooth running of all the tasks on a project, from reading the plans provided by engineering to assembly? On a daytime schedule, you'll need to calibrate the welding machines, assemble the components, and move them around with a positioner, overhead crane, or jib. The \"manual side\" in you will be satisfied
Duties and responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings or welding technical specifications
- Calibrate the welding device
- Assemble and weld parts according to drawings and templates
- Sand welded parts
- Inspect the quality of welded parts
- Use a positioner, overhead crane or jib crane to move parts
- Help support the activities of other departments
- Compressed schedule to take advantage of Friday afternoons off
- Up to 5 weeks of vacation per year, including 3 weeks of vacation upon being hired
- Paid clothing and equipment

- Demonstrate autonomy and professionalism
- Be precise and meticulous
- Be able to read drawings
- Be familiar with welding symbols
- Be able to calibrate work tools
- Have a good reasoning
Qualifications
- Diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in welding and assembly or equivalent diploma (completed or in progress)
- 0 to 2 years of experience in welding or a similar position
- Overhead crane operator card (asset)
