Operate public pool facilities and perform routine pump maintenance. Use janitorial systems and equipment (floor cleaning machines, etc.). Plan, document, and implement short‑ and long‑term maintenance plans for complex facilities. Operate mechanical systems and building controls (HVAC, boiler, fire alarm, sprinkler, pool equipment). Minimum Qualifications Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Systems (2 years) or related field. Pool Operator 1 & 2 Course completed. Standard First Aid and CPR (c). Pass a swim test as required by the Aquatics Coordinator. Class 5 Nunavut Driver’s License. WHIMS certification. Four to five years of experience with mechanical systems operations and facility maintenance (building systems and related equipment). Experience operating public pool facilities and pump maintenance. Experience using janitorial systems and equipment. Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, boiler, fire alarm, sprinkler, pool equipment, building control systems). Ability to communicate in Inuktitut and/or French (preferred). Security clearance: clear Criminal and Vulnerable Sectors Record Check required. Assets Previous experience as a commercial HVAC Service Technician.
