The appointment commences January 1, 2027, and the successful candidate will also serve as Embedded Scientist in the Science of Care Institute at Sinai Health for a renewable six‑year term. Key Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in micro‑ and meso‑organizational behavior and qualitative/mixed‑methods methods, including potential undergraduate contributions. Lead curriculum development in management and organization science within the Institute’s professional and research programs. Conduct independent, innovative research that advances implementation science and advanced technologies in health and healthcare. Secure external funding and build a competitive research portfolio. Mentor PhD candidates, trainees, clinicians, and staff within Sinai Health and the Institute. Collaborate with the Science of Care Institute Chief Scientific Officer and Sinai Health leadership to elevate the role of organizational behavior in technology innovation. Qualifications and Experience PhD in organization theory, behavioral science, implementation science, health administration, public health, health systems research, management sciences, or a closely related field. A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and research in organizational behavior and implementation science, particularly related to advanced technologies in health care. Emerging or established reputation for acquiring competitive external research funding and publishing in top‑ranked peer‑reviewed journals. Strong teaching dossier, including philosophy, course materials, and evidence of effective teaching (evaluations or other assessments). Referee endorsements from high‑standing reviewers are required. Ability to integrate knowledge users, policymakers, and the public into research projects. Commitment to collegial service and collaboration with the Institute’s strengths in Health Systems Research, Implementation Science, Health Economics, Public Health, and Learning Health Systems. Alignment with the Science of Care Institute’s strategic spheres: agile and equitable innovation; workforce magnetism and nursing excellence; organizational and systems learning; collaborative practice and strategic partnerships. Salary and Funding Expected salary: $130,000 – $150,000 CAD per annum, depending on experience. Negotiations beyond this range may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.
