This role delivers electrical training across KO Communities and KO Board of Education offices. Assists with future KO Community workforce development in electrical and renewable energy systems. This development will include potential future smart grid objectives. 1 year term position Salary Range: $91,600 to $116,000 Key Responsibilities: A. Instruction, Training & Development Deliver foundational electrical training Mentor KO Community youth and adults in hands-on settings Creation of workshop materials, lesson and training plans and support trades program development B. Community Project Support and Programming Development Work with community members/students in community to support minor electrical maintenance and upgrades as part of an educational initiative Provide technical advice for KO schools and KOBE facilities to plan for future educational opportunities and planning Assist KOBE facility managers in coordinating contractors and materials related to electrical work and programming development Help build long-term electrician pathways through apprenticeship C. Safety & Compliance Maintain safe learning and work environments Incorporate electrical regulations in to curriculum Comply with all regulations Required Qualifications Red Seal Certified Valid Ontario driver’s license Strong communication and teaching skills Must submit a clear vulnerable sector police check Must submit proof of qualifications and licensing Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching trades Technical background in High Tension Powerlines Experience working with/in First Nations communities Knowledge of renewable energy, micro‑grids & battery storage, and AI Electrical infrastructure Experience with mentoring and apprenticeships Skills Organized and safety‑focused Strong communicator and mentor Able to lead projects and train others Culturally respectful and community‑focused Work Conditions Travel to remote fly‑in communities Mix of classroom, office and field work Potential for evening/weekend community training #J-18808-Ljbffr
