The Prince Edward Island BioAlliance is the catalyst of a vibrant and fast-growing partnership of bioscience- based businesses, research and academic institutions, investors, and government agencies powerfully aligned to create an innovation ecosystem focused on technology commercialization and business success.


Emergence, operated by the BioAlliance, is Atlantic Canada’s bioscience business incubator dedicated to assisting start-ups and growth-stage companies in commercializing new technologies and services.

Emergence provides companies with business incubation services, including mentorship and advisory services, as well as access to networks and resources.


We are looking for a talented professional to join the Emergence Incubator team to fulfill project management-related activities associated with the Incubator program and to act as a key liaison with Emergence stakeholders.

This position would suit those with a strong background in program delivery and administration, ideally in an innovation-centric workplace, and those who can balance a fast-paced work environment. The ability to build credible, proactive relationships with key partners is important, as well as the ability to plan and support the delivery of Incubator program activities and objectives.


What we're looking for: 

●     A highly motivated and capable individual, experienced in program and project management, ideally within an innovative life science environment

●     An outstanding administrator with strong organizational, financial, and contract management experience

●     An individual who can support the delivery of the corporate partnership program, specialist projects, and the TEAM mentorship program, along with administration of the Incubator program

●     Prior experience in a high-growth company setting would be advantageous

●     An individual who is well acquainted with the startup network in Atlantic Canada and an ability to recognize, build, and develop commercially relevant opportunities, working with colleagues in ACOA, NRC-IRAP, ResearchNB, Life Sciences Nova Scotia, and Bounce Health, along with the broader stakeholder community


 Candidate Profile:

●     An undergraduate or advanced degree, ideally in life sciences or business administration, coupled with 3 or more years of experience in a management role

●     An individual with experience and interest in business administration who enjoys processes, systems, and finding new ways of doing things

●     Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create a strong rapport through both the written and oral form

●     A highly collaborative team player who is self-motivated, able to work independently, and who is proactive and thoughtful in their approach to engagement and project delivery

●     A passion for supporting the growth of early-stage companies through the challenging commercialization pathway

●     Highly organized and attentive to detail

Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s expertise, outcomes, and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the role. Salary range is $65,000 and $85,000
