Merit Ontario is hiring for a member company serving Chesterville. The electrician reads drawings, installs electrical equipment, connects circuits, and maintains systems. The work includes lighting, generators, controls, and communication equipment. You will also support an electrical apprentice through teaching and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read drawings and interpret Ontario Electrical Code specifications
- Install, replace, and repair lighting and electrical equipment
- Pull, splice, join, and connect wires through conduits
- Test circuits and troubleshoot faulty electrical components
- Perform lighting and generator maintenance while recording work
Requirements:
- 309A Licensed Electrician qualification
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code
- Working at Heights certification
- Minimum G licence with clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to lift 50 pounds throughout the day
