Our mission is to help people adopt a healthy and balanced diet and save them time every week by cooking healthy meals for them. Role Reporting to the IT Manager, the Back-End Developer Lead will be responsible for the back-end architecture and development. They will work on building and scaling web applications that support WeCook’s website and digital platforms, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability. The Back-End Developer Lead will oversee back-end architecture and guide the front-end team in implementing integrated solutions. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Back-End services, APIs, and integrations. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. Ensure security and data protection best practices. Collaborate with Front-End developers, designers, and product managers. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production. Stay up to date with Back-End technologies and propose improvements. Supervise and provide technical direction to the Front-End Developer. Ensure consistency between front-end and back-end development practices Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Back-End development. Strong expertise with Laravel. Solid experience with databases (MySQL). Experience with RESTful APIs. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure). Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Git workflows. Strong understanding of application security and data privacy. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Leadership or mentorship experience.
