Human Resources Business Partner

Voyago, Transdev Ontario, is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) , to be based in our Ajax office and covering both the expanded Durham and GTA regions. Your Role Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources , we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to align business objectives with employee and management needs through close working relationships with management and all employee groups. This is an in‑office position and will require occasional travel within Ontario. Primary Responsibilities Business Partner Partner with the business to assess short and long‑term business needs of the business units and provide strategic HR direction to meet their operational business requirements Support leaders with their management of front‑line drivers and other employee groups Consult with business stakeholders on an ongoing basis to determine evolving human resource requirements and assist with the development and implementation of responsive, effective and value‑added human resource strategies Provide input on business restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning Provide day‑to‑day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions) Use judgement supported by human resource acumen and practical experience to elevate matters as required Provide leadership, guidance and develop an HR Generalist who will assist you in support of your internal clients Employee Relations Work closely with all leaders on performance management, investigations, corrective action, training & development, and supporting a strong employee experience Provide advice on human resource policies, procedures, and documentation; research, identify, and analyze specific employee relations concerns and make appropriate recommendations to the business partner Provide expertise on HR best practices to guide business stakeholders on matters such as performance management, human rights, employment standards and other labour legislation Explore and determine innovative and creative approaches to resolving employee issues Provide positive reinforcement and administer corrective action for the professional development of poor performers by closely monitoring employee performance Facilitate communication and conflict resolution, including conducting internal employee investigations Compliance Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of current legislation relating to employment law, WSIB, Labour Relations Act, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code to ensure regulatory compliance Provide support and consultation to the teams around applicable laws, ensuring that Voyago remains legally compliant in its people practices Employee Experience Foster and build relationships with key operational leaders by implementing a clear understanding of employee experience programs and initiatives Support Employee experience initiatives under the direction of the Employee Experience Manager along with other projects and day‑to‑day support Requirements Your Profile You have a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field You have 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role, ideally in a related industry Your CHRP certification is preferred You possess a Clean Criminal Record Search and Drivers Abstract You have 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience managing labour relations, grievances, arbitration prep and negotiations You are strategic, have a strong professional presence, and possess strong planning and organizational skills You can interact with all levels of the organization with consultative, partnering, facilitating, and influencing/negotiating skills You demonstrate a commitment to strong integrity, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive information You are highly motivated and a self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities Complete proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other common applications You have an in‑depth knowledge of current legislations relating to employment standards and can provide counsel on Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workers' Compensation Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, etc. You are available to travel to other facilities on a regular basis Benefits The Perks We offer comprehensive benefits packages for full‑time employees with an Employee and Family Assistance Program, a great company perks program and an Employee Referral Bonus for all staff We are an award‑winning company As a subsidiary of Transdev, we provide opportunities for a rewarding career with a growing, global transportation provider We focus on innovation and sustainable environmental initiatives We support the development, work‑life balance and well‑being of our employees We build a supportive corporate culture that encourages diversity and enables our people to flourish We enable our employees to have a positive social impact by deploying sustainable mobility solutions We offer our employees opportunities to build their own experience within a local, global group If you are a dynamic, results‑driven individual we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity Voyago, Transdev Ontario, is committed to provide accommodation for individuals with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
