Join to apply for the CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST, CARDIAC CARE role at Northern Health - BC Reporting operationally to the Director, Medicine, Perinatal and Children’s Health and professionally to the Director, Professional Practice, the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Cardiac Care is responsible for providing leadership and direction the Cardiac Care service as well as expert advice in nursing, resource planning, program and health system improvement, research, and professional development. The CNS works with colleagues to achieve excellence in the delivery of services and patient/client care, facilitates integration of care across the continuum, leads the planning, development and implementation of clinical policies and programs designed for improving patient/client care and quality of services, shares specialty specific standards of practice, keeps current with nursing literature, promotes autonomous practice, and provides expert consultation to team members and other health care staff, patients/clients and families/significant others. Starting salary will be approximately from $106,026 to $132,533 and will be based on education, training, experience and salaries of similar positions. University Hospital Of Northern BC (UHNBC) is the largest acute care facility within the Northern Health Region, a hub for specialized health services, a teaching hospital, and home to a cancer centre for Northern BC. It has undergone significant expansions since 2001, including an expanded emergency room, updated ICU, state‑of‑the‑art maternal‑child care centre, MRI unit, and a future Acute Care Tower estimated to open in winter 2031.
