What you'll bring to WSP: Industry Leadership - Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering; 15+ years of relevant consulting or operating experience in a mining or mill setting; Demonstrated background in elements of design or operation of backfill plants (hydraulic fill, paste fill, cemented rockfill) plant, surface tailings disposal systems, underground or surface mine infrastructure, material handling and comminution processes; Establish laboratory testing protocols for paste backfill operations including, thickening, filtration, rheology, backfill unconfined compressive strength; Development of backfill underground distribution systems and slurry transport models; Valid driver’s license, Professional Engineer accreditation, and proficiency in Microsoft tools; Safety-First Mindset - Commitment to health, safety, and excellence in execution; Strong Communication & Teamwork - A collaborative approach that makes every project stronger.
