Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Product and Marketing, the Product Manager is responsible for overall management of a portfolio of Sym-Tech and OEM branded protection products for the Canadian market. Works with stakeholders from Sales, Accounting/Finance, Dealer Support, Claims, Legal, Marketing, Training, IT and Dealer/OEM client partners to bring new automotive insurance and warranty products to market, evaluate new segments and manage existing products in support of achieving desired sales, profitability and penetration objectives.
Position Functions:
- Identifies F&I Trends in existing and targeted segments and develops appropriate responses and/or recommendations.
- Conducts competitive analysis on key independent and OEM competitors.
- Acts as a resource for product and competitive related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Works closely with key internal and external stakeholders to assess the on-going health of all products.
- Recommends future product changes/enhancements.
- Leads product development process to deliver products that create compelling dealer and customer benefits, retail penetration and dealer, OEM and Sym-Tech profitability.
- Works with Marketing and Training teams to develop the go-to-market plans for product launches.
- Assists with product training for internal and dealer training sessions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive and/or automotive financial services and/or automotive insurance or warranty company.
- Undergraduate Degree.
- Insurance/Warranty, Financial Services or related Product Development and Management Experience.
- Strong analytical skills including financial analysis, competitive analysis and product pricing
- Product development skills – collaborating with multiple stakeholders in developing, launching and managing an extensive product portfolio.
- Proficient computer skills, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Smartsheet.
- Experience with PCRS Policy Administration system an asset.
- Strong presentation skills - capable of communicating effectively with senior management, internal team members, external partners and dealer audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detailed orientated and organized.
- Demonstrated strong people skills, leading and participating in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment concurrently on multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Comfortable/encouraging in constructive debate and discussion – unafraid to challenge the status quo.

Résumé du poste :
Relevant du Directeur des produits et du marketing, le/la Gestionnaire de produits est responsable de la gestion globale d'un portefeuille de produits de protection de marque Sym-Tech et OEM pour le marché canadien. Il/Elle collabore avec les intervenants des secteurs des ventes, de la comptabilité et des finances, du soutien aux concessionnaires, des réclamations, des services juridiques, du marketing, de la formation, des technologies de l'information et des partenaires clients des concessionnaires et des équipementiers afin de mettre en marché de nouveaux produits d'assurance et de garantie automobile, d'évaluer de nouveaux segments et de gérer les produits existants en vue d'atteindre les objectifs de vente, de rentabilité et de pénétration souhaités.
Fonctions du poste :
- Identifie les tendances en matière de F&I dans les segments existants et ciblés et élabore des réponses et/ou des recommandations appropriées.
- Effectuer des analyses concurrentielles sur les principaux concurrents indépendants et OEM.
- Agir en tant que ressource pour les questions relatives aux produits et à la concurrence posées par les parties prenantes internes et externes.
- Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les principales parties prenantes internes et externes afin d'évaluer l'état de santé permanent de tous les produits.
- Recommande les modifications/améliorations à apporter aux produits à l'avenir.
- Diriger le processus de développement des produits afin de fournir des produits qui créent des avantages convaincants pour les concessionnaires et les clients, la pénétration du marché de détail et la rentabilité des concessionnaires, des équipementiers et de Sym-Tech.
- Collaborer avec les équipes de marketing et de formation afin d'élaborer des plans de mise sur le marché pour les lancements de produits.
- Participe à la formation sur les produits dans le cadre de séances de formation internes et pour les concessionnaires.
Qualifications et compétences minimales :
- Minimum 3 ans d'expérience dans l'automobile et/ou les services financiers d’automobiles et/ou l'assurance automobile ou dans une entreprise de garantie.
- Baccalauréat.
- Expérience en matière d'assurance/garantie, de services financiers ou de développement et de gestion de produits connexes.
- Solides compétences analytiques, notamment en matière d'analyse financière, d'analyse de la concurrence et de tarification des produits.
- Compétences en matière de développement de produits - collaboration avec de multiples parties prenantes dans le cadre du développement, du lancement et de la gestion d'un vaste portefeuille de produits.
- Compétences informatiques, en particulier Excel, Word, PowerPoint et Smartsheet.
- L'expérience du système d'administration des polices PCRS est un atout.
- Solides compétences en matière de présentation - capable de communiquer efficacement avec la direction générale, les membres de l'équipe interne, les partenaires externes et les revendeurs.
- Excellentes aptitudes à la communication écrite et orale.
