Consistent with our values of providing reliable evidence-based solutions, we provide a variety of services reflecting our wide range of expertise (please visit our website for more information on the company and the list of services we offer to our clients world-wide Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Statistician will support a broad range of projects by conducting and overseeing statistical analyses and modeling and leveraging these insights for publications and research. This role demands expertise in statistical methodologies. Primary Responsibilities Develop and complete feasibility assessments and statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for quantitative studies including real-world evidence (RWE). Lead and execute real-world data analyses using large administrative healthcare databases, including claims and linked datasets. Execute analyses, including but not limited to: Meta-analyses Network meta-analyses (NMAs) and indirect treatment comparisons (ITCs) Matching-adjusted indirect comparisons (MAICs) Simulated treatment comparisons (STCs) Survival analysis Longitudinal data analysis Bayesian statistics Propensity score methods, weighting, matching, and other confounding adjustment techniques commonly used in real-world data (RWD) analyses Provide statistical analysis advice for various documents, including standard and ad-hoc reports, briefing notes, presentations, summaries, and research papers. Contribute to the writing and review of the analytics sections in technical reports. Prepare summary reports and presentations for a variety of audiences. Engage in statistical discussions with project team members, clients, and data vendors and claims database providers. Ensure quality control of statistical deliverables, including documentation, reports, tables, listings, and figures. Qualifications 3-5 years of relevant work experience in HEOR, pharmaceutical, or a related field, including hands-on experience with real-world data analyses. Master’s or PhD degree in statistics, biostatistics, or a related field. Proficiency in multivariate analysis, regression analysis and forecasting, sampling, and programming. Demonstrated experience analyzing large healthcare claims databases or other real-world data sources, such as administrative, EMR, or registry data. Advanced knowledge of statistical software such as R, including data manipulation and analysis of large-scale datasets. Excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Strong oral and written communication skills. Highly analytical with a keen attention to detail. Critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze information and problem-solve. Located in the Greater Vancouver area.
