Work onsite as a Vegetable Farm Worker using manual harvesting and crop-care skills in an urban fruit and vegetable operation. English or French is accepted.
This position supports fruit, vegetable, and melon farming, excluding potatoes. You will plant, cultivate, irrigate, weed, clean, harvest, sort, and pack produce. The work also includes examining quality and market readiness. No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, while one to less than seven months of experience is listed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant, cultivate, and irrigate vegetable and melon crops
- Clean crops and remove weeds from growing areas
- Hand harvest vegetables and other farm crops
- Sort, pack, and examine produce for market readiness
- Clean the work area after completing assigned tasks
Requirements:
- English or French language ability
- One to less than seven months of experience
- Ability to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel
