Overview Hiring: Head / Deputy General Manager – Mining Operations Location: FIFO from Quebec to Labrador Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off Shift: 12 hours/day Site: Open-pit, Iron Ore Mine (24/7 year-round operation) A leading mining company is seeking a Head / Deputy General Manager – Mining Operations to lead and optimize mine site operations in Labrador. This FIFO leadership role is critical in ensuring safety, efficiency, and production performance across all facets of open-pit mining. About the Role Reporting to the General Manager of Mining Operations & Site Services, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of mine production activities. You’ll coordinate daily, weekly, and long-term mine planning while leading cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to strategic decision-making when the GM is off-site. This role involves both office-based planning and on-site field supervision , with significant interface between operations, engineering, and external contractors.
