Senior Director of Product Management (Remote) Senior Director of Product Management that will lead and scale our product and platform. The role reports to the VP of Product Management and works cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, and business stakeholders to support rapid growth. This is a remote position and all communication must be in English. Job Summary Our Product Team builds and scales Toptal’s platform and products in partnership with Operations and Engineering. We embrace a data‑focused approach to ensure every initiative on our roadmap has a meaningful impact. The Senior Director will guide a team of Product Managers, set product strategy, and drive execution to deliver high‑impact products. Responsibilities Own the overall strategy and roadmap for our technology and customer‑facing products, enabling Engineering teams to deliver solutions faster and improve system stability and performance. Provide thought leadership, strategic insight, and clear communication to the team and the broader organization. Track progress, assess risks, coordinate delivery, and actively communicate contingency and mitigation plans. Guide the prioritization of initiatives as the team scales. Lead and grow a team of Product Managers, helping them achieve their best work. Drive the Product Management practice and culture in how we work and the design of the organization. Work cross‑functionally with Executives, Operations, and Legal to ensure their objectives are met and plans communicated. Lead and supervise other Toptal team members within the function or sub‑function. Establish objectives and initiatives for the team, recommend structure and job assignments, and oversee work execution. Coach and mentor team members, conduct performance reviews, and implement improvement plans when needed. Apply system‑analysis techniques and consult with users to determine hardware, software, or systems functional specifications. First Week Get up to speed with how the organization runs, including OKRs, RACI, and other operational frameworks. Onboard and integrate into Toptal while independently studying and learning the product suite. First Month Become acquainted with your product area, goals, and partners. Refine your product strategy, prioritize the roadmap and backlog, and collaborate closely with Product Managers. First Three Months Deepen understanding of how Product Management and related functions collaborate. Take full ownership of the technology products domain, its strategy, and roadmap. Earn the trust of peers and key stakeholders. First Six Months Build a world‑class team of Product Managers. Inspire and mentor teams, enhancing brainstorming, collaboration, and execution. Chart a clear path for scaling the team and output of technical Product Management. First Year Deliver on roadmap priorities and promises. Ensure the team builds impactful products promptly and elegantly. Scale the team to meet growing business and user needs. Qualifications and Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Economics). At least 10 years of proven software Product Management experience. At least 3 years of experience leading other Product Managers. Prior experience as a Software Engineer is a strong plus. Knowledge of AI product development processes is a plus. Comfortable working with SQL or spreadsheets to analyze data and conduct research. Creative problem‑solving through data and a user‑centric approach. Meticulous with a high bar for quality in user story writing, technical brainstorming, and feature testing. Humble, willing to learn, and proactive in achieving goals. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Experience with agile methodologies and globally distributed teams. Ability to handle the challenges of a fast‑paced, rapidly growing company. World‑class individual contributor who can lead teams without micromanagement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
