Join to apply for the Distribution Center Manager role at HYTORC Role Overview The Distribution Manager oversees the movement, short and long-term storage, and delivery of goods within a company’s supply chain. The position ensures that products are distributed efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. This role involves performing duties related to receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods in a warehouse environment, requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various equipment like forklifts and scanners to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Develop and manage distribution strategies to optimize delivery timelines and reduce costs. Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and transportation logistics. Ensure orders and transfers flow through systematically via ERP / WMS / DCD / Etc. Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely product delivery. Monitor KPIs such as delivery accuracy, cost per shipment, and inventory turnover. Assist with paperwork, end-of-day communications, preparation for the next day, and other related duties. Assist with carrier pickups when necessary. Coordinate with Warehouse Operations Manager to handle emergency openings on designated weekends. Implement and maintain safety standards and compliance with regulations. Manage and mentor distribution staff, including supervisors and Inhouse Repair Techs. Prepare reports and present performance metrics to senior leadership. Align with Territory and Sales Managers to achieve goals. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing safety standards and procedures, and by complying with necessary legal regulations. Other projects as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Direct reports: Order processing, pickers and packers, Inhouse Repair Techs. Other direct reports possible depending on operational needs. This includes performance and attendance management, coaching and mentorship, guidance and support. Education / Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or related field (Preferred). 5+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Prior managerial experience encompassing defined scopes of work, performance metrics, and team leadership. Leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, WMS). Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities. Knowledge of transportation regulations and warehouse safety standards. Experience with lean logistics or Six Sigma methodologies. Computer Skills Necessary Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Outlook and Excel. ERP and WMS experience preferred (SAP B1 and RESOLV a plus but not required). Physical Demands / Requirements Occasional physical work (picking/packing/inspection) in the warehouse. Ability to stand/sit for prolonged periods of time. General office duties. Minimal domestic travel (up to 10%). Ability to lift 75 lbs. Work Environment Warehouse and office. Responsive to dynamic business environments, including after-hours and weekend availability when necessary.
